Background: Our newest brew to join the core range, first brewed in January 2014, and fast becoming one of our most popular beers! It is named in honour of Nottinghamshire's most famous outlaw, Robin Hood.

Food matching: Enjoy this light and crisp beer with lemon and thyme chicken or fresh salads. Also ideal to match with seafood such as salmon or fried king prawns, or if you're looking for something to nibble on with your pint, try light, nutty cheeses.

GUEST BEER: Thwaites Wainwright 4.1%

Thwaites Wainwright is an unusually refreshing, 4.1% ABV golden ale from Daniel Thwaites, Lancashire brewers since 1807. We named it in honour of the famous fell walker, author and fellow Lancastrian Alfred Wainwright.

A BEER WITH LEGS

Thwaites originally brewed Wainwright as a seasonal ale. Such was the demand though, that we decided to continue brewing it throughout the year. And over the last few years it’s been like its namesake, travelling far and wide. Our Wainwright is now available in pubs and bars across the UK and you’ll find the bottled version in the countries across the globe.
As Wainwright wins new drinkers in far-flung places, it’s also winning awards. It’s been voted Best Golden Ale at the 2012 World Beer Awards, and Best Bottled Ale in its class at the 2011 International Brewing Awards.

REFRESHING CITRUSSY TASTE

Wainwright is distinctively different because:

• We use a special combination of hops for a fruity scent and citrussy flavour
• We make it with 100% Marris Otter, the king of real ale malts
• We leave a little more present gravity for a fuller mouth-feel and a balancing sweetness

Firebird Brewery - Old Ale XXXX 4.5%

This is our take on what’s become a Sussex Winter tradition ever since the now passed King and Barnes first brewed it three generations ago. Brewed with a unique range of malts, including roasted carafa, and primed with a small amount of molasses, this is a dark winter beer full of warmth and character. Slightly sweet with hints of roasted chocolate, it has a smooth mouth feel and a lingering but subtle bitterness. Great on its own but will accompany smoked or strong cheese or smoked fish.

Exactly what it says on the clip. Following in the modern tradition of blonde strongly hopped beers. A classic blonde beer — clean and crisp. The nose is loaded with floral hop aroma while the pale malt flavour is overtaken by a pleasing dry and bitter finish.

Auburn/chestnut colour. H2H is well balanced between crisp biscuity maltiness and a citrus and fruit hop character with a hint of bitterness in the finish.

St Austell Brewery - JOLLY HOLLY - 4.3% ABV

See out the year with this appropriately seasonal beer with zesty undertones that harmonise with toasted malts and bring out the Christmas cheer.

Arundel Brewery - Sussex Golden Ale 4.2%
